– Katara Hospitality brings employee families together in a fun-filled atmosphere of social activities and outdoor relaxation –

Employees from Katara Hospitality, the leading global hotel owner, developer and operator based in Qatar, gathered for a day filled with fun-fare and social relaxation at the company’s annual Family Fun Day held on Al Safliya Island, a short Dhow cruise away from Doha’s Corniche.

Organised by Katara Hospitality’s Employee Welfare Committee, the annual Family Fun Day welcomed the company’s employees together with their families, for an opportunity to socialise outside the working environment and partake in friendly competitions, games and leisure activities. The event, held in an atmosphere of festivity and relaxation adjacent to Doha’s impressive skyline and West Bay area was a treat for all team members.

The Family Fun Day is our way of showing appreciation to our employees for their hard work and continued pledge to the ongoing growth of Katara Hospitality,” he added.

As part of the Family Fun Day’s line up of activities, employees and their family members enjoyed a variety of activities including but not limited to face painting for children as well as traditional fish trap crafting for attendees who wanted a to try a hand at an authentic Qatari heritage activity. While some preferred to relax as they chimed into the sounds of the DJ’s music on the backdrop of pristine surroundings and views of Qatar’s capital, others took on more adrenaline-pumping water activities such as kayaking, banana and doughnut rides or simply enjoyed a delightful BBQ lunch spread complimented by an array of beverages including Arabic Qatari tea and coffee.

In an effort to continuously build upon positive employee morale, boost social employee engagement and promote an atmosphere of wellness and increased interaction, the Employee Welfare Committee organises monthly employee activities in addition to the annual social gathering for Katara Hospitality employees at different venues every year.

Another highlight of the Family Fun Day was a series of raffle draws which were held throughout the course of the day. Winners walked away with remarkable prizes. The grand prize saw two lucky winners receive return Economy Class tickets to any of over 150 destinations of Qatar Airways, the Official Airline and Exclusive Airline Partner for this event.
