Navid Chamdia serves as a Board Member of Katara Hospitality as of July 2025, bringing over two decades of global expertise in real estate investment and financial structuring.

As Executive Director and Head of Real Estate at Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Mr. Chamdia leads QIA’s international real estate investment strategy, overseeing direct acquisitions and co-investments across Europe, the United States, Asia, and other global markets. His leadership is central to managing and expanding QIA’s diversified real estate portfolio, which spans commercial, residential, retail, logistics, data centers, and hospitality sectors.

Mr. Chamdia joined QIA in 2005 following a 12-year tenure at Ernst & Young Project Finance in London, where he advised on the financing and delivery of major real estate and asset-backed projects.

He holds a first-class honors degree in Economics from University College London, is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Under his stewardship, QIA has invested in landmark developments including Canary Wharf Group, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur REIT, the Manhattan West project in New York, Porta Nuova in Milan, and a broad range of assets across Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America. His approach emphasizes sustainable growth, value creation, and portfolio diversification by region, sector, and strategy.

With his extensive background and investment acumen, Mr. Chamdia contributes significant strategic insight to Katara Hospitality’s continued international growth and long-term value creation.
