Qatari Diar and Katara Hospitality to Celebrate National Sports Day

13th February 2019

Qatari Diar, in partnership with Katara Hospitality, organized the 2019 National Sports Day activities, at the Crescent Park in Lusail City.

This year, the company organized many sports activities that support the concept of sport as a healthy lifestyle.  This is in line with HH Emir’s directives, and Qatar Vision 2030. These activities include football, volleyball, basketball and a variety of special events for children.

Eng. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, CEO of Qatari Diar, stressed the enthusiasm of the company to participate every year in the National Sports Day activities. Since the issuance of Emiri Decree No. 80 of 2011 (Declaration of the National Sports Day), Qatari Diar as a company is keen to organize different sports events for their employees and associates.

He stressed that spreading the awareness of the importance of sport as a lifestyle, not only held by Qatari Diar in the sports day, it’s a defining factor in its planning for sustainable projects. The most important example of this is the City of Lusail, where the annual events are held. The Marina, which spans 4.2 square kilometers, provides more than 142,000 square meters of Promenades, along with Bicycle paths and many parks dotted around the city , to raise awareness and importance of sports throughout the year.
