Iconic resort’s extensive enhancements will include additional eighteen villas and room upgrades

Sealine Beach Resort, Qatar’s first leisure destination, announced a complete transformation with a number of renovations, expansions and service enhancements across the resort’s rooms, chalets, villas, and its famous recreational facilities. The resort, due for completion by the end of 2016, will feature 95 rooms, suites and villas for guests to bask in redefined luxury comfort.

Owned by Katara Hospitality; Sealine Beach Resort will be re-named Sealine, a Murwab Resort, managed by Murwab Hotel Group, Katara Hospitality’s standalone operating division. The three phased renovation began in August 2015 and will consist of upgrading the existing resort rooms and developing an entirely new wing with 18 additional villas. Sealine Beach Resort will remain fully operational throughout the entire renovation.

Chief Executive Officer of Katara Hospitality said: “This was Sealine Beach Resort’s record year in the number of guests that stayed at the resort. Taking that into consideration and after studying the requirements of the local community, we decided that the resort facilities would benefit from added value services and features to create even more memorable experiences for our guests.”

“We will continue to offer family style resort accommodation, the best water sport facilities in the Mesaieed area and all of the services and amenities that one would expect from Sealine Beach Resort,” he added.

The single largest project will see the complete refurbishment of all 77 of the resort’s existing guest units, all of which feature a private balcony or terrace, completely redecorated and furnished. Renovations will continue in the bathrooms with the installation of new marble, fixtures and vanity amenities.

Loyal adventurous guests will be able to rejuvenate in a complete unique experience at the resort. This investment will enhance Sealine Beach Resort’s accommodation and facilities with an additional 18-villas to the 349,309 sq. m resort.

Rebranding:

The resort will undergo a rebranding to ‘Sealine, a Murwab Resort’ managed by Murwab Hotel Group, Katara Hospitality’s standalone operating division. Murwab Hotel Group manages an international collection of boutique upscale hotels and brands offering contemporary hospitality steeped in cultural heritage.

Renovation:

The complete transformation will include refurbishment of the existing 77 resort room units, villas, and chalets as well as the entire lobby area which will also feature natural-style furniture and fixtures providing expansive lobby windows soaked in natural light, tranquil surroundings and panoramic sea views.  The welcoming ambience of the new lobby and entrance will delight the resort’s guests prior to an enjoyable overnight stay or a few hours on the ocean-front. This phase will also include upgraded equipment and facilities to the back of house areas.

Expansion:

Sealine, a Murwab Resort will feature an additional 18 family style villas, alongside the remaining stretch of the resort’s beach, consisting of 3 and 4 bedrooms, each villa with its own private pool. After a successful re-design of the existing 18 villas, the new villas will be even more luxurious. There will be a complete renovation and remodeling of the main kitchen in addition to new facilities for children.

Enhanced Recreational Facilities:

World-Class recreational and entertainment facilities for families and adults will be added to Sealine, a Murwab Resort during this refurbishment process.

Recognizing the history and high-profile community presence of Sealine Beach Resort, the new interior design celebrates the resort’s roots by blending rustic qualities of wood and marble accents with lighter finishes, luxury furnishings and Qatari-themed details.
