– Employees join to promote healthy living in Katara Hospitality Building –

Doha, Qatar – Employees from Katara Hospitality, the leading global hotel developer, owner and operator based in Qatar, today promote healthy living and support social responsibility by hosting a blood donation day in association with Hamad Medical Corporation at Katara Hospitality Building.

The campaign was part of the Katara Hospitality corporate social responsibility program and supports the community by restocking the hospital’s blood bank and enhancing the ability of local hospitals to save lives.

Katara Hospitality had invited all its employees, and all their property employees to take part in the initiative. As a pioneer in providing luxury services and an active partner providing continuous support to community activities, Katara Hospitality places social responsibility at the very top of its priorities. This is reflected in substantial contributions for supporting human, health, educational, and sports activities as part of Katara Hospitality social responsibility programs.

Donating blood has many additional benefits for the donors. It stimulates production of new blood cells and helps in maintaining good health.  It is beneficial in reducing risk of heart and liver illnesses caused by iron overload and it helps in lowering the risk of cancer. It can also aid the donors to control their weight better.
